GAME OF THE YEAR 2015
*My New Year’s resolution is to
blog more! What’s yours???*
Hey, guys! Bchace here!
Firstly, I want to start by saying, “Happy New Year!” and, I know, it’s over a
week like, and I apologize. Believe it or not, on New Year’s Eve, I came down
with the beginnings of a pretty nasty cold, and even today, it’s still rearing
its ugly head. I wanted this article up days ago, but, alas, it did not make
it. But, here it is! Fresh off the press for you, my beloved followers and
friends. Oh! I lost track, one second… recalibrating my brain! There we go!
Yes, good. Okay. Secondly…
I want to take a second to thank
each and every one of you for coming to my site. It means a lot to me, each and
every click, and every word you read. Just… thank you. Anyway…
Onto business, as per usual. You
want to talk about games, right? Good, because I do, too.
I hope you all are as excited as I
am for all the great upcoming releases on all platforms (Street Fighter V and
Tom Clancy’s The Division are among my most anticipated). Yes, that’s right.
That means 2015 is now since been over, and 2016 is here to stay, well, for at
least another year or so. 2017, I see you all the way down there! Slow down, we
need time to enjoy life! Thank you! (There I go again…) I have high hopes that
the gaming model will change, and the games we get this year will be more
complete! This may be some sort of a stretch! But, here’s to hoping, yeah?!
2015 was a pretty decent year for
gaming. We had some great triple-A titles, sleeper hits, and innnovative takes
to redefine next-gen multiplayer video games. (Pause for commentary! Sorry, I
promise I’ll stop. This is important.) Now, if only the games we purchased
these days were a bit like the start of the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 generation.
I swear, I’m sick to my stomach with all of these season passes, and
over-priced DLCS.) Business models are still plaguing the average game consumer
into 2016, and 2015 was, shamefully, another year of company greed- EA yet
again being the worst culprit with their two disappointing game releases this
year: Battlefield Hardline and Star Wars Battlefront.
But, I digress… time to give credit
where it’s due!
This game is a fantastic,
intense co-op experience, with immersive first person combat, tight parkour
mechanics, a solid character progression system, and absolutely gorgeous
graphics. I have beaten the main campaign twice now (Working on my third with
friends), and I have delved countless hours into the various challenges, side
quests, and content.
DYING LIGHT!
My sincerest congratulations
to developer Techland for all their success this year. Dying Light has been one
hell of a ride for me, and many others who have chosen to throw ourselves into
the infected streets of Haran. You folks took a very different spin on the FPS
genre, focusing on speed and platforming, as well as intuitive, realistic hand
to hand combat. I could go on, but I think I needn’t say more.
Thank you for the
best zombie experience I’ve had in years. I cannot wait for The Following!
Until next time, guys…
Good Night.
Good Luck.

forget, a full list of my top games of this year will follow in the next few
